Terms of Use

Access to and use of the website www.ibdim.edu.pl shall take place under the terms and conditions set out below. Accessing the website www.ibdim.edu.pl and browsing its content constitutes acceptance of the following terms and conditions.

The Road and Bridge Research Institute (IBDiM) is the owner of the website www.ibdim.edu.pl (hereinafter referred to as the “Website”).

The information contained on the Website is published for informational and promotional purposes, except where publication of information constitutes fulfillment of an obligation specified by law.

The Website and the information contained therein are the exclusive property of IBDiM and are protected by copyright and industrial property law. The User is not authorized, without the consent of IBDiM, to use any intellectual property rights of IBDiM or other entities.

The IBDiM website may contain or refer to technologies, products, patents, trademarks, proprietary information and other intellectual property rights owned by IBDiM or other entities. No license or right to use any such technologies, products, patents, trademarks or other intellectual property rights belonging to IBDiM or other entities is granted or conferred unless otherwise provided by law.

It is prohibited to modify, adapt or make any changes to the information or any part thereof contained on the Website.

IBDiM makes every effort to ensure that the information published on the Website is accurate and up to date. IBDiM shall not be liable for any damage or virus infection of a computer or other property resulting from access to, use of or browsing the Website or from downloading any materials (data, text, graphic files, video files) from the Website.

IBDiM is not responsible for the content of any third-party websites to which links are provided on the Website.

The Website may be visited without providing any personal data. However, certain sections of the Website may require the provision of such data. In such cases, IBDiM may request personal data such as name and surname, email address, company name, address, contact telephone number for purposes such as registration for a conference/seminar/course or sending information about its own products and services. Providing such data is entirely voluntary.

IBDiM collects statistical domain data as part of analysis concerning Website visitors. The data are used to analyze visitor preferences, such as frequency of visits and the most frequently visited sections of the Website. IBDiM uses this information to improve the Website’s content.

IBDiM reserves the right to change, modify or update the above statement at any time without prior notice.

I. GENERAL INFORMATION.

  1. The operator of the website www.ibdim.edu.pl is the Road and Bridge Research Institute with its registered office in Warsaw at 1 Instytutowa Street.

  2. The Website performs functions of obtaining information about users and their behavior in the following ways:

a. Through information voluntarily entered in forms
b. By storing cookies on end-user devices (“cookies”)
c. By storing technical logs at the www server level operated by IBDiM (the hosting operator runs its website at www.ibdim.edu.pl. The Operator is the Road and Bridge Research Institute with its registered office in Warsaw at 1 Instytutowa Street).

  1. This Policy is an informational document and does not replace the security policy maintained by the Website Operator in accordance with personal data protection regulations.

  2. With regard to data constituting personal data under personal data protection regulations, the data controller is the Website Operator.

II. INFORMATION IN FORMS.

  1. The Website collects information voluntarily provided by the user.

  2. The Website may also record connection parameters (timestamp, IP address).

  3. Data provided in forms are not disclosed to third parties other than with the user’s consent.

  4. If data provided in a form enable identification of a natural person, such person has the right to access, modify and request cessation of processing of their data at any time. However, this may result in loss of access to certain Website functionalities.

  5. Data provided in forms are processed for the purpose resulting from the function of the specific form, e.g., for contact purposes.

  6. Data provided in forms may be transferred to entities technically implementing certain services with which the Website Operator cooperates in this respect.

III. INFORMATION ABOUT COOKIES.

  1. The Website uses cookies.

  2. Cookies are IT data, in particular text files, stored on the end device of the Website User and intended for use of the Website’s pages. Such files usually contain the name of the website they originate from, the duration of storage on the end device and a unique number.

  3. The entity placing cookies on the Website User’s end device and accessing them is the Website Operator or entities cooperating with it.

  4. Cookies are used for the following purposes:
    a. creating statistics that help understand how Website Users use the Website, enabling improvement of its structure and content;
    b. maintaining the Website User’s session (after logging in), so that the User does not need to re-enter login and password on each subpage.

  5. The Website uses two main types of cookies: “session” cookies and “persistent” cookies. Session cookies are temporary files stored on the User’s device until logging out, leaving the website or turning off the browser. IV. SERVER LOGS.

  1. Information about certain user behavior is logged at the server level. These data are used solely for Website administration and to ensure the most efficient provision of hosting services.

  2. Accessed resources are identified by URL addresses. The following may also be recorded:
    a. time of request receipt,
    b. time of response dispatch,
    c. client station name – identification via the HTTP protocol,
    d. information about errors occurring during HTTP transaction processing,
    e. URL of the previously visited page (referrer link) – if access occurred via a link,
    f. information about the user’s browser,
    g. information about the IP address.

  3. The above data are not associated with specific individuals browsing the Website.

  4. The above data are used solely for server administration purposes.

V. DISCLOSURE AND ENTRUSTMENT OF DATA PROCESSING.

  1. Data are disclosed to external entities only within legally permitted limits.

  2. Data enabling identification of a natural person are disclosed solely with that person’s consent.

  3. The Operator may be required to provide information collected by the Website to authorized authorities based on lawful requests within the scope of such request.
