European Technical Assessments
Since 1 July 2013, in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 305/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 9 March 2011 laying down harmonised conditions for the marketing of construction products and repealing Council Directive 89/106/EEC, European Technical Assessments may be issued for construction products for which there are no relevant harmonised European standards.
A European Technical Assessment constitutes a reference document for the manufacturer to draw up a declaration of performance of a construction product and to affix the CE marking.
By Decision of the Minister of Transport, Construction and Maritime Economy No. 2/JOT/WB/13 of 20 November 2013, the Road and Bridge Research Institute was designated as a technical assessment body authorised to issue European Technical Assessments within the scope of the following groups of products:
