National Technical Assessment

TECHNICAL RECOMMENDATIONS

An IBDiM Technical Recommendation is a positive assessment of the suitability of a product for use in transport infrastructure construction. It is a voluntary document.

IBDiM Technical Recommendations are issued for:

  • products or sets of products not classified as a construction product within the meaning of Article 9(1) and (7) of the Act of 16 April 2004 on construction products (Journal of Laws of 2004 No. 92, item 881, as amended);

  • construction products or sets of construction products placed on the market with the B or CE marking;

  • other repeatable technical solutions.

IBDiM Technical Recommendations may cover products / construction products used, among others, for the construction and maintenance of:

  • public roads,

  • internal roads,

  • road engineering structures,

  • railway engineering structures,

  • airport pavements.

The application for the issuance of a Technical Recommendation is submitted by:

  • The manufacturer of the construction product, or

  • on behalf of the manufacturer – an authorised representative appointed by the manufacturer, attaching the power of attorney to the application.

  • The application shall be accompanied by the technical documentation of the product and proof of payment of the initial fee in the amount of PLN 2,500.00 net.

A Technical Recommendation is issued for a period of 5 years. This period may be extended for subsequent periods.
