BRIDGE MATERIALS AND STRUCTURES TESTING LABORATORY

Scope of activities:

• Natural scale strength testing of components and structures

  • The test stand with the load capacity of 4000 kN allows testing of elements up to 36 m long and 4 m wide.

• Strength testing of tendon elements

  • The 10000 kN testing station allows for testing tendons with lengths from 5 m to 6 m. It is used to test prestressing cables and rods, suspension tendons of various designs, and anchor, micropile and nail systems used in geotechnics.

•  Strength testing of bridge bearings

  • The 6,000 kN test stand allows for testing the compressive capacity, torque and resistance of bridge bearings and other components that require high compressive strengths.

•  Bridge expansion joint testing

  • Possible load range for static and dynamic tests up to 200 kN.

•  Testing of materials and products under static and dynamic loads

  • Strength tests with a static load range up to 2000 kN at compression and up to 1000 kN at tension, and up to 600 kN for dynamic loads.

• In terms of resources, it is possible to create test stands for individual applications according to customer specifications.
